About Terrie Lynn Bittner

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just after my seventeenth birthday. My favorite part of church life is the opportunity it's given me to speak, write, and teach. Since I write often about the church, I am frequently searching for just the right quote or scripture. Eventually, it occurred to me it would make sense to start a file of the things I use in articles, rather than redoing the searches each time. When the file corrupted and my backup was a few weeks old, I decided I ought to put the material on the internet, since creating websites is something I do anyway. That way, I'd have a back up and others could benefit from my growing collection of materials.

In church, you can nearly always find me by checking with the Primary president. Even if I get released, I sneak back in to substitute. Currently, I'm the nursery leader and the Relief Society literacy leader.

In my personal life, I am married with three grown children. I love my computer (fortunately, since I'm on it all day), books, writing, cozy mysteries when I can find one clean enough to read, children's books, teaching, and thinking up excuses to get out of housework.

Professionally, I'm an author. I wrote Homeschooling: Take a Deep Breath--You Can Do This! for Mapletree Publishing just as I was emerging from an eight year break in my freelance writing career. I have a second book on preschool at home coming out...well, eventually. My publishing company traded hands and I don't know where I am in the new lineup. But it's coming out.

I own Family Friendly Content, providing website content for family friendly websites, editing, and more or less anything else I'm asked to do. It allows me to stay at my computer, write, contribute something worthwhile, and earn money...and provides less time for the above mentioned housework. Happily, I'm often asked to write about the church, which is what led to this website.
