Writing a Talk? Preparing a Lesson? This site can help LDS church members get ready!

Writing a talk or preparing a lesson can be an overwhelming experience, but LDS Talk Prep can help. While I won't provide you with pre-written talks, except as examples, I will give you the tools that can make it a little easier. After all, God planned for us to research and write talks for a reason!

The red navigation at the top will help you get around. Here's what you'll find in each section:

Topic Listing: This is an alphabetical list of all gospel topics included on the site. If you're preparing a talk or lesson on tithing, for instance, look for that topic and follow the links to get to quotes from church leaders, scriptures, and other tools you can use to put together your talk or lesson. These are also useful for personal study. Only a few topics currently have scriptures, but all will have them eventually.

Talk Tips: Not sure how to write or give a talk? The articles in this section will walk you through the process of doing both.

Teaching Tips: Guidelines for preparing and teaching church lessons, including skills that can improve your ability to teach, and help in learning to use the lesson manuals.

Primary: This section is especially for helping parents with their child's Primary talks. Learn how to help even a Sunbeam write his very own talk.

Outlines: Often when a leader assigns each Sacrament Meeting speaker the same topic, such as prayer, you wind up with four identical talks. This section suggests possible subtopics to use, so your talk will stand out, and also offers possible outlines for talks or lessons focused on these subtopics.
